How It Is Organised
Entries are tagged on two axes, where their own text supports it. The first says how the work defines populism. The second says what populism is studied with. Each name below opens the Library with that filter.

- Politico-Strategic (Weyland)
- Performative or Stylistic (Moffitt)
- Socio-Cultural (Ostiguy)

What Goes In
Works on populism, in English. Journal articles, books and book reviews. Chapters and other kinds of work enter only when they have proved significant over time. The rule that anyone can check is simple. “Populism” or “populist” is in the title, or in the abstract when there is one.
Works enter in two ways. They come from the reference lists of handbooks and review articles, and from a search of the open catalogue OpenAlex by title.
From the search, a piece in a journal enters when Scopus covered the journal in the year of the work. There is no citation threshold. Every DOI is checked in a second catalogue, Crossref.
The Library is not complete. If a work is missing or wrongly tagged, or if you see any other problem, tell the editor: editor@populiverse.com
What Each Entry Gives You
The full citation, the abstract when the publisher provides one, a link to the DOI or to an open-access copy, the tags, and a BibTeX reference in one click. The works shown can be downloaded as a BibTeX or a CSV file. PopuliVerse links to papers. It does not host them.
If you use the Library in your research or teaching, please cite it. The reference stands at the top of this page. Cite the works themselves as usual, as each entry gives its reference and its BibTeX.

The Zotero Group
The Library lives in a public Zotero group, “PopuliVerse Library”. Anyone can read it and use it in their own Zotero. Scholars who contribute regularly are invited to join it as editors.
